Berkshires Wedding at the Kemble Inn >
I’ve known David + Amanda for several years, first as wedding vendors and soon thereafter as friends. Knowing them independently as single people, then as friends, then as friends who are dating, then seeing David propose to Amanda (which is it’s own unique and special story), culminating in a truly special weekend in the Berkshires has been a pleasure.
As both David + Amanda are involved in the wedding industry, he the owner and lead cinematographer of Epic Filmmakers and she the catering services manager at the Lord Jeffery Inn in Amherst, they’ve each seen their share of weddings and wedding traditions. Creating something unique to them was a challenge which they accomplished beautifully.
With their engagement featured as a cover story in a local wedding magazine billing them as “The Wedding Power Couple”, David + Amanda have had a unique path to and fair amount of attention paid their wedding.
The Kemble Inn in Lenox was the host to their wedding weekend. Their rehearsal, family dinner, and a bonfire that went long into the night began the weekend. Saturday was the big day with David + Amanda both getting ready on different floors of the venue, leaving separately to have an emotional first look at the nearby Wheatleigh which was also the site of a planned photoshoot. From there they went their separate ways so David could spend time with his brothers, son, and father while Amanda went off to surprise David with a whole new look with different hair and makeup.
With few dry eyes by its end, their ceremony at the Kemble Inn concluded with waves of yellow rose petals dropped upon them from a balcony as they kissed. After the formals they spent time alone with their wedding party before being introduced into the reception with much energetic dancing alongside their groomsmen and bridesmaids, followed by their first dance.
During the night we had the opportunity to make a few additional portraits, both in the field behind the Kemble as the sun set and also utilizing the colorful uplighting in the front of the venue once the sun set, including a paparazzi-style photo we’d planned in advance.
As the reception went on the Kemble Inn was transformed into “Club L” for an after party that featured a club DJ and uplighting that was amazing to see. After a full day’s worth of events and celebration, somehow everyone still found the energy to dance.
