Salem Cross Inn Wedding… 
Morgan + Yevgen had an amazing and unique wedding recently at the Salem Cross Inn in West Brookfield, MA.
My day with them began with photographing Morgan getting ready in the Salem Cross Inn’s bridal suite, with some pre-ceremony portraits in an adjacent room where the light was just so. During this time Yevgen and his groomsmen greeted guests as they arrived.
The timing for the ceremony had it taking place as the sun was getting lower in the sky, so a great warm light shone down on the proceedings. We got all the family portraits done just before sunset, so there was a beautiful quality of light for that part of the day, as well.
Before guests entered the hall for the reception we photographed all the unique details Morgan + Yevgen thoughtfully put on display, and they really revealed their personalities. From skeletons embracing or kissing or in a coffin, to candy in a glass skull bowl, to color coordinated, and seasonally appropriate, flowers and table scapes.
After they had their first dance and cake cutting, we ventured outside for some nighttime photos. We used different aspects of the Salem Cross Inn grounds as backdrops to make some dark and moody portraits.
Back inside, Morgan changed dresses and Yevgen into something more comfortable for the remainder of the night. Guests were both outside enjoying the cool night air, as well as dancing up a storm inside.
As the night drew to a close, Morgan + Yevgen had the DJ play a death metal song, one of their favorites, evidently, and they really went for it! Yelling the lyrics to each other and truly embracing the moment. It was amazing.
