Gibbet Hill Winter Wedding >
I knew Jackie + Chris were my kind of couple when potential themes for their engagement session included Doctor Who, Game of Thrones, Buffy, and both Stars and Trek and Wars. We decided on the classic film True Lies since it was what they watched on their first date and also because they were incorporating touches from the movie into their wedding day. They learned the tango for their first dance and their cake topper was bride and groom spies (which you may see below in this post).
Their winter wedding had other personal touches as well, including Jackie’s dress that was a re-tailored vintage family heirloom, her mother’s charm bracelet and grandmother’s shawl, which she also wore. After the ceremony she changed into a contemporary dress for the reception.
Friends and family danced a LOT that night, and Jackie + Chris were right out there on the dance floor with them. We did take a little break to go out into the chilly winter night for some portraits, and then it was back inside to be with everyone.
