Wequassett Resort Cape Cod Wedding > 
Recently I had the pleasure of joining Walter van Dusen in photographing Sylvia + Eddie’s wedding on Cape Cod at the Wequassett Resort and Golf Club in Harwich, MA.
I began the day photographing Eddie and his groomsmen in their suite at Wequassett which overlooked the bay. When the time came we put him into position for his first look with Sylvia, with flowers and greenery on one side of them and the ocean on the other. We then made portraits with them and their families, managing to get lots of boats in the background.
The outdoor ceremony site was stunning. It was a level below the venue and right on the water, which provided a perfect backdrop for them. After, as the sun was setting, we brought them out onto the docks and made sunset portraits, some with the ocean in the background and some facing the shore with the venue and cabanas in the scene.
Finally it was time for the reception. First the wedding party was introduced leading up to Sylvia + Eddie’s introduction. Smoke machines filled the room during their first dance, and immediately their family and friends joined them on the dance floor while vibrant lighting came up in the background.
After several toasts and dinner, the crowd danced to the band that was brought in from New York for the day. Once night fell we took the newly married couple out by one of the venue’s firepits and made some dramatic portraits. Once we were done outside, Sylvia + Eddie rejoined their friends and danced until the night was done.
