Smith College Wedding >
Preferring an intimate ceremony, Sarah and Didi eloped late last year, planning a reception with family and friends for this summer with a dance-filled celebration at the Smith College Conference Center.
Sarah and Didi met at Forbes Library on the Smith College campus where Sarah worked, and they began dating when Didi made Sarah a fake gift certificate for French lessons. Tying together the whole Smith connection, their first date was at the Botanical Gardens on campus, and culminated with their celebration at the Conference Center.
We began their day with a quick portrait session with just the two of them and segued into family portraits in a shady spot near the Smith College Conference Center. Their cocktail hour was held on the venue’s terrace, though it spilled over into the air conditioned space of the foyer.
After their introduction, several heartfelt toasts were given by both family and friends, and it was clear how adored they both were by everyone in attendance. Then after dinner everyone moved downstairs to the Conference Center’s first floor to watch Sarah + Didi’s first dance, and then joined in with energetic dancing that went on for hours.
