Riverview Wedding >
Laura + Steve met when her college roommate dated his and they were soon after introduced. Then on Valentine’s Day 2015 Steve had planned on proposing during a carriage ride in Central Park. A snowstorm put a damper on those plans, but as they walked along and entered one of the castles overlooking the park, he then presented her with a ring.
On the big day this spring they both got ready at the Simsbury 1820 House, right around the corner from The Riverview where both the ceremony and reception were held. A little rain moved the festivities inside, but with enthusiastic friends and family in attendance there was no shortage of laughter and celebration.
Arriving separately at The Riverview, Laura + Steve had their first look followed by a ketubah signing and then had their ceremony in the ballroom. After family formals we braved the weather and made some portraits of the wedding party outside in between the raindrops, and then moved inside for the remainder of the reception.
At the end of the night we tried something new and made a pink portrait outdoors in honor of Laura’s favorite color.
