New Hampshire Wedding…
Nicole + Ryan had a great wedding on a rainy day in New Hampshire. Plans were adjusted at the last minute thanks to no small amount of rain that lasted all day, but it didn’t stop anyone from having a good time.
I began my coverage with Nicole and her bridesmaids where they got ready at The Burrell House in Keene. After she got into her dress I drove to their home where she and Ryan had planned a back-to-back not-quite first look. The plan was they would each wear blacked-out sunglasses and be walked into position by their friends. Once they were in place on the deck off the back of their house and unable to see one another, they would remove their sunglasses and then read their vows so they could share that moment (almost) privately before doing so later in front of their family and friends.
From there I headed to Frogg Brewing in Swanzey where the ceremony and reception were to be held. The originally planned tent flooded from the rain, so the festivities moved to higher ground. The ceremony took place under a covered deck, which because you could see the rainy foliage beyond, it also served as a dry location for family formals during the cocktail hour.
Dinner was inside the main building, and afterward Nicole + Ryan had their first dance and parent dances back out on the deck where there was more room to move around.
After a cake cutting and some portraits in the rain, both with and without an umbrella, my time with them came to an end.
