Log Cabin Wedding>
Becky + Pete met when friends introduced them during a group outing. Several years later they were married on a hot but beautiful day at the Log Cabin in Holyoke.
Our day began in the Log Cabin’s bridal suite where Becky and her bridesmaids got ready. Pete and his groomsmen awaited the ceremony in the room where the reception would later be held. Becky was then walked down the aisle by her father as the ceremony began, which was officiated by Pete’s brother.
After several groups of family portraits were made during the cocktail hour, the wedding party was introduced into the reception. Becky + Pete shared their first dance which was followed by the Maid of Honor and Best Man toasts. Becky shared a dance with her father and Pete one with his mother, and reception dancing then got underway.
As the afternoon became evening it cooled off a bit outside, and guests made their way to the Log Cabin’s patio. The sun began to set, and because it was humid the haze in the valley began to glow orange for a short time. It was amazing to see in person and we were able to use it as a background for sunset portraits. Finally the sun was almost gone and I used the remaining light to create a silhouette of the couple, which ended our coverage of the wedding.
Here are some photos from the day…
