Lake House Guest Cottages of the Berkshires Wedding > 
Leah + Ted were married on a beautiful summer day at the Lake House Guest Cottages of the Berkshires in Lanesborough. Both got ready for the day ahead on the premises, though each in their own cottage on the venue grounds. Leah and her bridesmaids had their hair and makeup done while Ted and his groomsmen got ready and had a few drinks.
Their first look took place adjacent to the ceremony site, and once they saw each other they wasted no time hugging, kissing, and twirling around. After that they signed their ketubah, and we then photographed each of their families and the wedding party with the lake as a backdrop.
The ceremony began with Ted’s parents walking him down the aisle, followed by bridesmaids and groomsmen couples, and finally by Leah escorted by her parents. In keeping with Jewish tradition they were married under a chuppah, and their mothers took turns speaking the seven blessings. At the conclusion of the ceremony Ted stomped on the ceremonial wine glass and they recessed down the aisle, stopping for a kiss before leaving the ceremony site behind. Their bridesmaids and groomsmen surrounded them with hugs and kisses in congratulations, and they spent the cocktail hour being showered with praise.
The wedding party had a special something to act out as they were each introduced into the reception. Leah + Ted had their first dance followed by parent dances and dinner was served. After their several toasts had concluded we made our way down to the water for a few sunset portraits on the lake, and then a couple more in an alcove between the cottages that made for a nice intimate spot.
Dancing commenced and stopped only for Ted to remove the garter from Leah’s leg and then the hora, only to get back into full swing for the next hour. Guests then lined up outside the tent and Leah + Ted had a grand exit as confetti poppers went off around them. Finally, Leah tossed her bouquet into the air at the very end and all said their goodbyes.
It was truly a memorable day.
