April + Kyle were married at the Inn on Boltwood in Amherst on a sunny spring day.

They met through mutual friends while in college and dated for a few years before Kyle proposed at WaterFire in Providence, RI. While planning their upcoming wedding we met at a local wedding expo, and a little more than a year later we were ready for the big day. Between then and now, however, we had a fun engagement session which you may view here.

We began their day at the Inn on Boltwood where they were both getting ready for the day ahead. Once she was in her dress, April had a first look with her dad in the bridal suite, and she gave both him and her mother gifts.

She and Kyle then had a faux first look on the Inn’s upper deck. They wanted a moment of connection before the ceremony without actually seeing each other beforehand. With Kyle in position behind a column, one of April’s bridesmaids covered her eyes as she walked her toward him. They then held hands around the column while they both kept their eyes closed.

After family portraits and introductions, they had their first dance which they had been practicing the choreography for for nearly a year. They also had a chalkboard sign they had been counting down the days until the wedding on for a full year. Finally they reached Day Zero, so I thought it fitting to incorporate their rings into that sign for a detail photo.
