Happy Place Family Session > 
Robyn, Charles, Addy, and I spent a couple of hours in Happy Place in Boston for a super fun family session. We took our time making our way through the various exhibits and alcoves, stopping to climb in, on, and around the colorful displays. Though to be fair we did mostly go at Addy’s pace.
Happy Place encourages photography but draws the line at light stands, so with an off camera flash on a monopod, and with the help of Robyn’s sister Rachel, I was able to use a small light to great effect. Plus some of those spaces are pretty tight to get into, so anything larger than what I was using would have been too obtrusive.
There was so much color and texture in Happy Place, and so many options for backgrounds and fun things to do, that without the clear way to move through the space that was provided, I wouldn’t have known where to begin! It was definitely a happy place to photograph a family in 🙂
