Eric Carle Museum Wedding >
Lisa and Ezra’s fall wedding was one I’ll remember for the color and the art that filled the day. Lisa is an illustrator with a wonderfully imaginative portfolio while Ezra is a veteran of several indie rock bands, and both of their personalities shined through on their wedding day.
After getting ready at The Knoll B&B in Florence we all met at Smith College for their first look, which took place on a hill overlooking the pond behind Smith, where Ezra proposed, while their wedding party cheered them on. We were fortunate to have so many great fall colors to play with while we then made some fun portraits.
From there it was a short drive to Amherst and the Eric Carle Museum for their Ketubah signing, ceremony, and reception.
Lisa and Ezra had so many great details, both on themselves and on display. Lisa’s dress had a green petticoat that matched the color of her shoes and Ezra’s tie. Her bouquet was comprised of paper flowers, as was Ezra’s boutonniere. More paper flowers formed the centerpieces for the tables at the reception that also had handmade paper cutouts inspired by classic children’s literature.
As part of the favors, Lisa and Ezra made pins featuring Lisa’s illustrations of she and Ezra as a rabbit and a turtle, a theme that also inspired their cake topper. To accompany the cake they also brought in pies from their favorite bakery in Brooklyn.
