Eric Carle Museum Wedding >
Megan + Matt were married in October later in the day, with a ceremony and reception at The Eric Carle Museum in Amherst, MA.
We began their day with Megan getting ready at the Lord Jeffery Inn and Matt at a nearby Airbnb, both in Amherst. Matt and his friend took a walk around Amherst Center, getting a slide of pizza while they were out, and then made their way to the Eric Carle Museum. Once Megan was ready she also drove to the museum for their first look.
The rain held off while they saw each other for the first time that day, followed by their family formals behind the museum. Their ceremony started as the sun began to set, and we finished up just as it was getting dark, after which Megan + Matt went off to be alone in the museum’s auditorium.
Prince featured prominently in two events during the day. Lyrics from “Let’s Go Crazy” were read by friends during the ceremony, and they later had their first dance to “Diamonds and Pearls”. This was followed by Megan’s father’s toast which left not many dry eyes in the room once he was finished. Matt’s sister played piano during both parent dances, which were great emotional scenes before the evening’s dancing got underway.
