Union Station Wedding…
Brynn + Jacob had a beautiful wedding day in Northampton with a ceremony and reception at Union Station. Jacob and his groomsmen got ready in the nearby Hotel Northampton, while Brynn and her bridesmaids did so in Union Station’s upstairs bridal suite.
Their first look was on the bike path in between Union Station and the bridge that spans Main St., and we had a few people on bikes pass us as we photographed the proceedings. Then it was back inside Union Station for family portraits and getting ready to photograph the ceremony.
The ceremony began with a traditional Jewish candle lighting ceremony and then Brynn + Jacob took their places under the chuppah. Other Jewish traditions were on display with sharing wine, seven blessings, and the breaking of a glass at the end.
After the cocktail hour, their wedding party was introduced into the reception and Brynn + Jacob had their first dance. They had concurrent parent dances which led into the hora. They and their parents were encircled by their guests who danced around them in concentric circles, then they were lifted on chairs above the crowd in celebration.
Two toasts led into dinner, and quickly thereafter dancing began. This proved to be one of the most energetic crowds I photographed this year. People danced, sang along, and had an amazing time thanks to the DJ, who kept the energy level up the entire time.
