Eric Carle Museum Wedding > 
Kate and Tyler were married on a beautiful fall day at the Eric Carle Museum in Amherst. It was cool and breezy, and just right for an evening outdoor ceremony.
Their engagement session at WPI where they first met was one I’ll remember for the great campus and their sharing memories of particular spots with me.
Our coverage of their wedding day began with their first look. Kate walked a path behind the museum to meet up with Tyler. She tapped him on the shoulder, and when he turned around they had their moment of seeing each other for the first time that day. This segued into family portraits in the meadow then portraits of just the two of them.
Their ceremony was scheduled for sunset, so we set up lights because the fading natural light would have made it otherwise difficult to photograph. With some strategic placement of our light stands they were out of the way and gave us ample light to work with.
For the reception, each table had a different children’s book to designate who among their guests sat where. It was a creative touch for a children’s art museum. During the reception the museum’s craft studio was open, and those who wished to could partake of some wedding-related arts and crafts.
After their first dance, toasts, and parent dances, dancing got underway. As we were about to leave we saw Tyler’s father with a couple of guests taking down the arch Kate and Tyler had used during their ceremony. Tyler’s father had built it, and it was time to pack it away for the night.
