Blantyre Wedding >
Glen and Rebecca were married in the Berkshires at the Blantyre on a snowy winter evening. The venue was decorated beautifully for the holidays, and we were able to use not only the perfect ornamentation in their portraits, but the rest of the venue’s immaculate decor as well.
Their wedding day consisted of Glen and Rebecca, the Justice of the Peace who married them, and me, so it was an intimate and meaningful evening. I arrived early to begin my coverage with portraits of them in the Blantyre’s cozy sitting room, making sure to incorporate the grand piano since they are both big fans of live music.
Glen and Rebecca’s ceremony was held in the Blantyre’s wine cellar. They entered the tasting room separately then met at the end of a small corridor to walk the remaining steps together. After their vows and an exchange of rings we spent some time making additional portraits, this time down in the wine cellar. There was a corridor lined with bottles of wine and a small room off to the side where private tastings could be held. It was a lot of fun exploring the different places to fill with light for their portraits.
As they headed off to dinner, their cake for two was brought to be photographed, and they joined us for a couple additional portraits. Finally they walked back to the Blantyre’s restaurant for a celebratory dinner and wine from the cellar.
Here are some photos from their day…
