Inn on Boltwood Wedding >
Meghan and Robert had their wedding on a rainy fall day at the Inn on Boltwood in Amherst. They didn’t let the rain get them down, however. The Boltwood provided a tent for both their ceremony and reception, and they and their guests were able to remain dry except for walking to the tent from the main building. Thankfully it’s a pretty short and quick walk.
I began my day hanging out with Robert and his groomsmen as they chatted and talked about the day ahead. I then went downstairs to spend the remainder of the pre-ceremony time with Meghan and her bridesmaids. Meghan’s mother was a helping and comforting hand while she got ready and dealt with some wedding day jitters.
Then everyone dodged the raindrops moving into the tent for the ceremony. Meghan’s aunt officiated while the rain fell onto the roof of the tent. Space heaters were set up to keep people warm and were occasionally moved around to accommodate different tables as things got chillier after the sun went down.
Toward the end of my time with them the rain let up enough for us to head outside and make a few nighttime portraits in front of the building. It was a great way to end the night.
Here are some photos from their day…
