Wendy + Alasdair were married at the Lord Jeffery Inn on a sunny summer day. Their entire day was spent there, from getting ready through the ceremony through the reception.

They met at a karaoke bar and dated for two years before becoming engaged, and Alasdair proposed while they were house hunting. We met at a bridal show and hit it off immediately, and not just because they were going to have a remote control BB-8 as their ring bearer, though that helped.

We began our day while they were each getting ready in different parts of the venue. After their first look on the upper deck we made portraits of them and their families, and then utilized the colorful flowers in front of the Inn for portraits of them and their wedding party. Then it was time for the ceremony in front of the pergola behind the building.

As promised, BB-8 rolled down the aisle whirring and chirping as it delivered the rings to Wendy + Alasdair. I realized later that there were faux rings on the little droid’s antenna. I suppose you don’t want to put real diamonds and gold on a round robot that may potentially roll off unexpectedly. When the ceremony was over and they were back in the safety of the Inn, they put their real rings on each other fingers.

After a couple of large family group photos we got ready for the introductions. That was followed by their first dance and toasts by the best man and maid of honor. After dinner Wendy danced with her dad and Alasdair with his mom. We then had the opportunity to make some nighttime portraits around the venue before heading back inside for dancing and a great light show by the DJ.
